Transmitter Information

From its studio centre at Whiteley, ITV Meridian broadcasts to three separate transmission regions: Meridian South, Meridian East and ITV Thames Valley. Six main transmitters carry both the analogue and digital terrestrial signal. They are:
Rowridge, on the Isle of Wight, broadcasting Meridian South to West Dorset and South Hampshire
Midhurst, broadcasting Meridian South to West Sussex
Heathfield, broadcasting Meridian East to East Sussex
Dover, broadcasting Meridian East to South and West Kent
Bluebell Hill, north of Maidstone, broadcasting Meridian East to North Kent and South Essex
Hannington, broadcasting ITV Thames Valley to North Hampshire and Berkshire

ITV Thames Valley is broadcast to Oxfordshire via an ITV Central transmitter.

A number of relay transmitters carry the ITV Meridian and ITV Thames Valley signals to areas that have difficulty receiving broadcasts from the main transmitters. If you are unsure which transmitter would give you the best signal, we recommend that you contact a reputable local aerial installer.

    Reception problems:

If you experience reception difficulties, please check with a neighbour whether they are experiencing the same problem – if they are, it’s likely that there is a transmitter fault or interference beyond our control, which will soon be resolved. If yours is the only set with reception problems, first check that your equipment is correctly connected. If it is, and the problem is ongoing, please contact ITV’s Duty Office on 0844 88 14150 or dutyoffice@itv.com for further information.
